even though i earnestly insist that i’m not like my mother, i think this excerpt from our conversation shows just how much like her i’m turning out to be:
(while we’re watching extreme makeover: home edition as a family)
me to jeremy: honey, why is that soldier wearing a beret? is he part of the green berets?
jeremy: no, all soldiers in the army are issued a beret.
(several minutes later)
my mom to my dad: bob, why is he wearing a beret? is he in the green berets?
my dad: no karen, all soldiers have berets.
very interesting.
well, i’m home. it’s okay i suppose. tomorrow lydia greene is throwing me a small bridal shower at her house. it should be nice, she’s a very nice lady. i like her a lot. i saw tristan today at walmart & tomorrow i’m supposed to be hanging out with ian and he. i’m very excited for that. well, jeremy and i are getting ready to head to gallery of sound, bloomsburg’s most beloved cd store. :-)
