well yesterday was an interesting one. as usual, work was lame. i’m so ready to be done there. i wish we could do without my input of paychecks for a month, but we’re already pushing it as it is.
we applied for the apartment on washington street before we left cumberland, and we talked to the lady who’s renting it out, and she accepted our application & deposit! so we have a home =) i’m very excited because 1) it’s on washington st, 2) the rent is decent, and 3) i was a bit nervous with only little over a month left to find a place to live. it’s harder than you think, trying to find a nice apartment in a nice neighborhood in cumberland. they should really work on that.
hmm how do i word this? when we got married, i suppose we got to experience the future a bit early. usually it’s after everyone graduates that friends are no longer kept in contact with, you see less and less of everyone, and you just grow up, i guess. there’s a handful of friends still at geneva that i like to have contact with, and see when i can. granted, jeremy & i are really busy, but we still manage and try to see/talk to our friends when we can. however, there’s some people i thought would move on with their life once we tied the knot. you know, marriage means that we’re both taken. it’s too bad that some are still hung up with feelings that they don’t realize what they’re doing. i don’t think attempting to destroy a marriage is the best idea for some people. plus, it makes you look like a pretty big hypocrite for all that soap-box preaching you do.
so all in all, that was what in geometry, one calls a tangent. but i still think it needed to be said. i’m excited for cumberland, geneva produces some great friends, but it also carries a lot of wolves in sheep’s clothing. i guess you’ll have that anywhere. cumberland’s going to be a fresh new start though, i can’t wait to live there with my husband, in our beautiful apartment, close to family and friends, and a great church.
countdown til may 14: 61. wow.
