i’m so frustrated right now i could scream. my thin walls keep me from doing so. the red text color will spew forth my wrath this morning.
every single week the gap puts me “on call” which is bullcrap for saying, we don’t need you, but when you call in to see if we do, we’ll say come on down just to piss you off.
congratulations! you did it! you pissed me off. last week AND this week. i don’t know why i keep calling in, i mean, technically i don’t have to work because i’m not on the schedule. if they want me to come down, then definitely put it on my schedule. don’t get my hopes up and then say “oh we need you”
last week when i was on call, i went down at 1 and pretty much did nothing. there were plenty of people to go around, all the breaks were covered, and the store was completely empty. i hate that, and i know since the weather sucks, it’s going to be like that again today.
the gap knows that i have to drive 35 minutes to get there. a 4 hour shift is hardly worth it to me & i’ve already clocked out of this job. if we didn’t need the money, i would have put my 2 weeks notice in.. well, probably 5 weeks ago. i’m so sick of their crap.
also, i’m not trying to get any more customers to open a gap credit card. the interest rates are terrible, the rewards are not that rewarding, and it’s just another thing that’s killing our economy. plus, the clothes are ugly right now.
that’s about it for my rant. you see, it’s almost 11am and i have to start getting ready now because i have to leave 45 MINUTES EARLY JUST TO MAKE IT THERE ON TIME WITH PITTSBURGH TRAFFIC. i miss mays when it was right across the street and i could leave at 12:58 and get there at 12:59.
