this weekend has been trying. i’m not feeling well. everything seems to be going wrong.

so jeremy has been thinking about getting a small bike for when we move to cumberland to save money, i.e. bikes get more mpg, his car costs a lot to operate per month, and since it’s warm, he could ride the bike for about 6 months out of the year. 

he was looking at this bike, called the “rebel” and it’s top speed is 45mph. in all seriousness, this bike wouldn’t be a bad idea, but these are the jokes that i thought of for the bike being called the “rebel” and only going 45mph:

• it should be called the “daisy” not the “rebel”
• i’m going to get jeremy a basket with flowers for the front of it and tassles to hang off the handlebars
• i’m also going to get jeremy a little bell so we can hear him coming at us 45mph fast

and my best joke:

• does it have training wheels?

i’m having so much fun thinking of funny jokes for this bike. finally, my wit put to good use.

The Office Videos

the trip to cranberry was successful. 

i love barnes & noble, but was saddened by the thought that that particular b&n doesn’t sell music. i was looking for m. ward & zooey deschanel’s new cd, she & him. 

ok, so here is what i got:

let me just stop and say that i love charles dickens. i’m working on collecting all of his works, and now am 2 closer to the full collection (!!)

i decided awhile ago that i’d like to start reading more virginia woolf. i’ve only read orlando, so i purchased night & day. i think i’ll start that one first. i don’t feel like i have to cook something now, but i do wonder what i’ll make for dinner tomorrow night. today’s day off was heavenly, i dread going back to work tomorrow. 

which brings me to my next point of contention, my cellular telephone. i got a new phone the first week of february, i believe. my old phone was a razr, and pretty much broken in every aspect. needless to say, i was very excited to get a new phone. so i did. i got a motorola Q, with a full qwerty keyboard, the internet, pretty much everything. it’s a computer on a phone. i got a great deal on it & i love it. it’s been working perfectly for the first 2 months, then last friday, my phone just froze. i tried to turn it on, and it wouldn’t go past the “verizon wireless” beginning screen. i took it to the verizon store & they just gave me a new Q.. and last night it froze again, but i got it working. on my way to cranberry tonight, i made the mistake of turning it off again to charge it and now it won’t turn on again. i’m so frustrated because i love my phone, but i’m so mad at it!

jeremy is home so i’m going to spend some time with him & eat my honey roasted peanuts, drink my coffee, & watch duplex. 

i’m having this uncontrollable urge to cook something & to read a book. 

i want to bake a pie and go to barnes & noble. 

i think i’m going to start a book list, i desperately want to read, i haven’t read anything in such a long time. maybe the cooking thing should be approached slowly, with much caution. 

i’m off to barnes & noble, hopefully i shall return with something joyous to read…..

wow this week was busy.. monday thru wednesday pretty much took all my strength and i’ve been tired for the rest of the week. tuesday morning i worked from 7am-2:30 and we had a HUGE shipment of new product come in for mens and womens. we had 312 boxes of clothes and accessories to open by 10am and get them out on the floor. it was crazy, a whirlwind of people and colorful clothes. then tuesday night, i went back to work at 9:30 because we had a huge visit from corporate on wednesday so the store had to look immaculate. i’m talking spotless. so there were about 10 of us working at night to make the store look beautiful. i got a headache so i left at 12:30, instead of staying til 2:30. 

wednesday i had to work at noon and the corporate visit was almost over by the time i got there, but it was excellent. they were very impressed with our store, how it looked and the sales.. but this is the thing that bothers me.. corporate knows that several associates stay late (most people stayed til 4:30am) but they didn’t say hi to any of the associates or thank them for the work they do. then, they tell the managers that they did a great job and the managers don’t even thank us. someone from the stockroom mentioned this to justin, one of the managers, and he got offended and acted like it wasn’t true…. i think he was just mad cause he does know it’s true.

well i have the weekend off, i have laundry to do and an apartment to clean, so that’s going to keep me busy. this is a picture of my mommy and me at my bridal shower in cumberland. i miss her alot. i miss my house alot. i really miss sandy. i’m so sad she’s gone. i can’t believe we had her for 12 years. i keep having these dreams that when i go home from work, my mom will be there.. and then i wake up and she is not. i don’t like these dreams, and it really makes me miss her.

i don’t like vegetables.

work went by quickly, but now it’s 9:30 and i have to  be to work in 9 1/2 hrs. tomorrow is going to be so busy with everything going on at work. i know it’ll go by quickly cause there’s so much stuff to do. 

yesterday spent with my husband was so special and awesome, we spent the whole day together- went to south hills village, it was such a beautiful day out too… what more could a couple ask for?

well this week is going by very slowly. it’s thursday, but i feel like it should be saturday. work has been kind of annoying, but it’s going by. i’ve only worked 4 hour shifts this week, so i don’t have to be there for long, but i still don’t like driving a half-hour just to work. 

next week, the regional manager, her boss, and her boss’ boss are visiting our store, plus the same day, we’re getting a huge shipment of clothing for men, women, and body. so needless to say, my managers are going crazy and it’s going to be very busy. the managers are going crazy for neatness on wednesday so a bunch of people are staying late tuesday to basically fold everything and make the store look perfect. so what i get to do is work 7am-2:30pm on tuesday, then go back around 9:30 at night and work until 4am. i can’t wait!

other than work, life is still pretty good. jeremy and i are having a great time learning about each other, communicating, and growing closer together. i love him so much & i’m so happy to have him as my best friend. i couldn’t imagine my life without him- especially for when we’re in silly moods and joke around a lot. i like when he makes me laugh, it makes me feel really good. we both can’t wait to move, cumberland can’t come soon enough!

speaking of funny things, yesterday jeremy & i were going to walmart to pick up a few things and some obviously blind woman was at the stop sign by wendys & eatnpark… she didn’t see us and pulled out right in front of us so jeremy (as soft-spoken as he is) throws both of his hands on the steering wheel and blew the horn then proceeded to give the lady the thumbs-up when she emphatically apologized mouthing words to us. we joked later than jeremy practically begged her to hit us with her car. it was funny, you had to be there.

i had a great talk with my mom last night and some friends- katie and laura. i miss them a lot, i miss home. i can’t wait to see my parents & visit home again.. beaver falls is so crappy. speaking of beaver falls and crap, it’s raining again, of course. well, jeremy and i are watching the office and my hot pocket is done! =)
